General Statement of the Job :
|
|
The primary purpose of this position is to monitor the data needs and various reporting of the Provider Network Department. The position is responsible for the maintenance of business processes related to data for the Provider Network Department and participating in the design and submission of reports. This position works closely with the Management Information Systems (MIS) Department and aids the Application Analyst Liaisons in application support and data management for the Provider Network Department.

Essential Job Functions :
|
|
Monitoring the data needs and collection. Position will work with the MIS Department's Application Analyst Liaison to understand and monitor business processes and will ensure business processes are documented and up to date. Business process changes may be triggered by operational changes and/or federal or state regulatory changes. Management of these changes will ensure that departmental data collection needs are maintained and updated as necessary to prevent data collection issues in the information system. This position will work with the Application Analyst Liaison to indentify the problems areas where the information system does not meet business process needs. This position will also work with the Quality Management Data Team and Application Analyst Liaisons to monitor system controls and verify their effectiveness related to internal compliance monitoring and reviews.
Position will work with the MIS Department's Application Analyst Liaison to design reports and dashboards that are relevant and useful for the Provider Network Department. Position will maintain a schedule of reporting required by the Provider Network Department and will be responsible for ensuring all reporting is presented or submitted on time. Position will ensure analysis and reporting performed in conjunction with the MIS Department is integrated into the department business processes and will work with departmental staff to ensure interpretation of reports and dashboards are accurate and useful. Position will help maintain efficient and consistent communication with the Provider Network department regarding data and helps minimize confusion related to reports and dashboards. Position will also have overall responsibility for the Provider Network Department's Quality Improvement Projects, helping identify needed and appropriate QIPs and ensuring that QIPs are implemented per direction of the Quality Improvement Committee.
Position will ensure business processes have controls in place to monitor and validate data in the information system. The position will work with the MIS Department to establish and maintain reliability of the information system.

Minimum Training and Qualifications :
|
|
A master's degree in the field of psychology, sociology or social work and one year of experience in research and evaluation using statistical methodologies in human service programs; or graduation from a four-year college or university and three years experience in research, evaluation and statistical application in the human service field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in conducting Care Management functions is desired. Licensure as a master's level clinician is desired.

Physical Requirements :
|
|
Normal office-based mental and physical demands. May experience demands for rapid turnaround of reports or analyses of data and other information.

Knowledge of Job :
|
|
This will require exceptional interpersonal skills, and highly effective communication ability. Problem solving and conflict resolution skills are essential. A strong knowledge of state and federal rules, requirements and practices related to the service continuum in North Carolina is imperative. The employee must be able to look at the needs of the Provider Network Department and aid in the design of systems that will be efficient, user friendly and produce data that is usable in multiple venues. The employee must be able to read and comprehend complex written materials as well as spoken information. This position must have a good understanding of and working skills to apply descriptive statistics and inferential statistics to data sets, and must be skilled in effective presentation of data to various audiences. Advanced skills in Excel and Word that include pivot tables, graphs, charts, etc. are needed.

Salary :
|
|
Grade/Step is determined by qualification and experience of candidate. Salary Range is $43,538 - $52,510. Position is full-time salaried with comprehensive benefits. Work schedule is 37.5 hours per week. This position is exempt from overtime compensation.
